Charlie Curnow stars as Carlton break losing streak

Blues forward boots four goals in win over North Melbourne

Charlie Curnow has kicked four goals to help Carlton end a two-match losing streak and reclaim ninth spot on the AFL ladder with a 30-point win over North Melbourne at Marvel Stadium.

The Blues were coming off losses to Gold Coast and Brisbane but were never seriously challenged by the Kangaroos, running out 12.10 (82) to 7.10 (52) winners on Saturday.

Curnow was the main beneficiary of Carlton's dominance in the forward half, finishing with 4.1 from 12 disposals and nine marks.

The 24-year-old has now kicked 20 goals in 10 games this season, including five hauls of three or more.

Carlton's other multiple goalkickers were Harry McKay (two) and Jack Silvagni (two).

North Melbourne were led by Nick Larkey, who kicked three goals, while Ben Cunnington had 29 disposals and nine clearances.

The Kangaroos have now lost three games in a row and sit 16th on the ladder.
